Loft Residence

Our design for this spacious one-bedroom loft apartment, with its generous 13-foot-high ceilings, created a luxurious and comfortable residence through a skillful layering of color, material, and texture. The dark rich, ebonized woods and intense accent colors balance the finely textured neutral color palette used for the upholstery, walls, window treatment, and rug.

A custom hand-woven wool rug from the Scott Group anchors the primary living area and the L-shaped sectional sofa from Baker. The ebonized coffee table with its clear Asian influences was a nod to our client’s frequent travels to the Far East, as was the sideboard with its hammered “Toad Skin” bronze doors crafted by renowned artist Robert Kuo for McGuire Furniture. The entire ensemble created a modern yet uniquely personal residence for our client.
