Alwyn Court Residence
New York, NY

Working within the existing floor plan of the historic 1909 Alwyn Court building, we transformed our client’s galley kitchen into a well-organized efficient modern workspace for their busy lifestyle. We designed elegant custom kitchen cabinets accented by polished nickel hardware and a beautifully veined polished white Calacata Borghini marble countertop. The top cabinets have custom leaded glass doors for maximum storage and beauty and crown molding that runs the kitchen’s perimeter. The hand-crafted look of the sparkling white tile backsplash is a subtle accent to the lacquered cabinets. The Blue-Star range adds a pop of color to this shimmering white kitchen.

We modernized the guest bath to create a luxurious spa-like environment. A delicately veined white Carrara marble slab was used for the Waterworks vanity top and to enclose the new undermount tub. Traditional white subway tiles were used for the walls, accented by a pearl-gray marble mosaic band. The floor is a field of grey and white hexagonal marble mosaic tile and anchors the bathroom’s design.

New double-pane windows in both kitchen and bath add protection from the summer heat and winter cold and complete an energy-efficient design.
