Tuckahoe, New York, NY
Our design for this one-bedroom loft apartment, with its generous 13-foot high ceilings, created a luxurious and comfortable residence through a rich layering of color, material and texture. Balanced against the neutral but finely textured palette used for the walls, window treatment, flooring and upholstery were rich ebonized woods and strong accent colors.
The primary living area was anchored by a hand-woven wool area rug from the Scott Group and an L-shaped sectional sofa from Baker. The ebonized coffee table with its clear Asian influences were a nod to our client’s frequent travels to the Far East as was the sideboard with its hammered “Toad Skin” bronze doors crafted by Robert Kuo for McGuire Furniture. The entire ensemble created a modern, yet uniquely personal residence for our client.
